Starting the week of 19th of October 2020.
8 week online program, sessions 1 hour 15 minutes via Microsoft Teams - online

The Pinarc Picky Eaters group is designed to help your child increase the range of foods they will eat and help you understand why it is difficult for your child to try different foods. Parents will be requested to have specific foods each week for the group – the food item may not change but the way it is presented may change.

The program is based on: Sequential Oral Sensory feeding theory (SOS), typical developmental eating milestones and meeting families who share similar challenges

The 8 week program will target:

  • Ideas to help children to eat different foods over time
  • Look out for signs that tell you what type of foods your child will/will not like
  • Managing family mealtimes
  • Eating in different places
  • Introducing utensils, cups etc. (if required)
  • Ideas on helping your child at home, and in the community

The group sessions run for 45 minutes, in which the parent will be working and playing with their child.

Immediately following group sessions there will be a parent education session which will run for at least 30 minutes. Children will not attend this portion of the session.

At least one parent is required to be with the child at all times during food play and will also attend the parent education sessions.

Preferred times and days are:  Wednesday 9:30am or Thursday at 2:30pm.

(Individual sessions can be at an agreed upon time with family).

Confirmed date and time will depend on majority of preferences.
