Our School - Therapy Team

The therapists, together with the teacher, specialists, ESC staff, parents and other people supporting the student, are members of a collaborative team that focusses on the specific needs of each individual student. To read more about the specialised supports each discipline can offer, please view or download the therapy info booklet Therapy is provided to students in the junior, middle and senior school through two pathways.
The first pathway is a referral based pathway. Parents, teachers or other people supporting the student in or outside the school can refer students to the therapy team through completing the referral form. . One of the therapists will contact the person who referred and start the assessment process. Intervention strategies recommended by the therapists will then be implemented in the classroom setting. Individualised therapy plans can included one-to-one or small group therapy sessions with the therapist or allied health assistant.
The second pathway of therapy services focuses on providing the school community with tools, training and programs which promote a whole school student centred approach, staff professional development, collaborative practices, students’/staff’s health and safety, preventative services and parent/carer support.
