Library Construction of our new library has been completed. The new library is spacious, energy-efficient and provides for access to computers for informational research. The library houses a large array of books and teacher resources and can be utilised by students at lunchtimes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Information Technology
Computers play an important part in our students learning and in 2007 a dedicated state of the art Information Communication and Technology room was opened enabling students access to thirty new computers all networked to the internet, in addition to this two networked computers and printers are in every classroom. City Beach Primary has an interactive whiteboard in each of its classrooms from Pre-primary to Year 7. An interactive whiteboard is a large physical display panel that can function as an ordinary whiteboard, a projector screen, an electronic copy board or as a computer projector screen on which the computer image can be controlled by touching or writing on the surface of the panel instead of using a mouse or keyboard. The technology allows our teachers to write or draw on the surface, print off the image, save it to computer or distribute over a network. They can also project a computer screen image onto the surface and then control the application by touching the board directly. The image can be annotated or drawn over and saved or sent by email. | |||
